Everyone who knows me, from close or from far, knows from my Facebook status that I care about people and various causes.
Sometimes I don’t take the proper road to help someone, but my instinct to help is strong.
In 2009, when I had a contract with an advertising agency, I met Etienne Bastien, who told me about the Fondation Mathieu-Lafond. No pressure, only a few words and information.
The following year, 2010-2011, I gave to the foundation. Not knowing that one day I would want to do more.
Briefly, I would say that the Foundation Mathieu-Lafond was created by the family, friends and colleague of a young man who had a big heart and saw his life ended by the 2004 Tsunami. I invite you to read more on their website to find out about their historic, their mission and The Small Boat Race.
So how come Nougat & Nectarine is getting involve in all of this? With Nougat & Nectarine (my passion), I’ve decided to challenge myself : to be part of the event The Small Boat Race on Saturday June 16, to sell cupcakes and to give back to the foundation.
Why? Because, the foundation has reached my heart without knowing it. For you the youth, for you kids who will be there after us, to underline that life is beautiful and that we love you.
So, I will be there, me and a few members of my family and friends. Will welcome you with a gorgeous cupcake stand to sell you cupcakes (I will have 500 of them).
So, it’s a date that we invite you. Hurry up to buy your ticket to access the Beach Club site. With The Small Boat Race there will be sand castle competition and a lot of fun for the family. You will be able to see how the boats are build. Rest assure to have a wonderful day surrounded by people who have at heart the kids of tomorrow.
Go, go, go to www.fondationmathieulafond.com/4-activites.html !
Looking forward to seeing you on this sweet occasion.
