Sunday, July 4, 2010, after the creation of the English blog, I started work on the French version. What follows is my first entry:
My parents always cooked at home. Mom cooked traditional recipes while my father was more experimental. I often talk about my father’s cooking, because we both shared the same passion for pastries. I was probably 11-years-old when I left Betty Crocker behind to bake my first homemade cake. The famous upside down apple cake. Simple and delicious. Being passionate about all art forms (jewellery-making, candles, soaps, cards, sculpture, illustration, painting), for many years, pastries were naturally attractive to me on many levels.
